Colbert County Indians Welcome to the Colbert County Indian Fan Site! Not the offical web site of the school.

Colbert County plays in the state of Alabama football's Class 3A, Region 8.  Other members of 3A, Region 8 for the up-coming 2008 and 2009 seasons include Colbert Heights, Elkmont, Lauderdale County, Madison Academy, Sheffield, West Limestone and West Morgan.

The 2007 Season.

After an opening game loss to the Muscle Shoals Trojans, the Indians and first year head coach Cody Gross, went on the win the remainder of their regular season games.  That winning streak included a win over 4A power Deshler.

The Indians made it all the way to the Semi-Finals of the 3A state playoffs before losing for a second year in a row to powerhouse Clay County.

CCHS  Legendary Coaches.  A total of 6 state championships between the three great coaches. 

C.T. Manley     C.T. MANLEY  - The stadium CCHS plays its games in is named for coach Manley.  He spent 24 of his 28 years in coaching at Colbert County, where he compiled a football record of 171-78-7 with a state championship in 1972. His team was runner-up in the first year of the state Class 3A football playoffs in 1967. He also coached at Red Bay and Muscle Shoals. A graduate of Hazlewood High and Southeastern Louisiana.

His 1972 state championship team featured the likes of Ozzie Newsome, Thad Flanagan and Phil Gargis. Manley turned the reins over to a former player, Don Creasy in 1978 when he accepted the head coaching position at Muscle Shoals.

Don Creasy DON CREASY -  The fieldhouse at Manley stadium is named for coach Creasy.  He spent 23 of his 30 years in coaching as the head football coach at Central (Florence), Colbert County, Coffee and Mountain Brook with an overall record of 185-77-2. His longest tenure was at Colbert County, his alma mater, where 11 of his 12 teams made the playoffs with a 101-16-0 record, two state championships and two runner-up finishes. He coached in two state all-star games and one Alabama-Mississippi all-star game. A graduate of Colbert County High School and the University of North Alabama.

Creasy continued the tradition by winning 2 state titles during his 12 years as head coach.

The late Jimmy Moore kept the tradition alive by winning 3 state championships in his nine years at the school in 1993, 1994, 1996.

Coach Moore was the 1994-95 Coach of the Year in Alabama 3-A football. His Colbert County High School team was state champion in its division. Moore also coached Hamilton (Miss.) High School to the 1982-83 Mississippi championship.
