C.T. Manley Stadium -  Jimmy Moore Field

C.T.  Manley stadium is home to the six time state champion Colbert County Indians.  The field is one of a kind.  There is no track or  buffer zone between the sideline stands and the field. The stands are located right next to the field. That, along with the tradition of CCHS football,  can be intimidating for visiting players.

CCHS vs. Deshler - An Great Annual Rivalry
Year in and year out the Colbert County v. Deshler game has always been one of the biggest games in the Shoals area and is always the biggest game in Colbert County.  In 2004 and 2006, the Tigers defeated the Indians in Tuscumbia.  In 2005 and 2007, Colbert County defeated Desher at C.T. Manley stadium.

The traditions that exist in Leighton and Tuscumbia are some of the best in the State of Alabama. Both teams have won state championships over the past two decades and have made several other appearances in the championship game.

The atmosphere for the game is always great and I look forward to this game every year. Two great teams. Two great traditions.

CCHS vs. Russellville:  The Rivalry
For years the Russellville vs. Colbert Couty game was one of the biggest games of the year.  Over recent years Russellville remained a 5A school, while CCHS became a 3A school. This resulted in the rivalry ceasing.

However, in 2004 the rivalry was renewed at C.T. Manley stadium and again in 2005 at Tiger Stadium in Russellville. While CCHS was beaten in both games by the 5A powerhouse, it was great to renew the series for those two years.

This rivalry had a great past and I hope it is renewed sometime in the future.
